The consultation serves as a representative body, a listening place and a meeting point for young people from the municipalities of Escolca, Esterzili, Genoni, Gergei, Isili, Laconi, Mandas, Nuragus, Nurallao, Orroli, Nurri, Sadali, Serri, Seui, Seulo, Villanova Tulo (hereinafter referred to as municipalities) who wish to participate in the ideation and realization of initiatives aimed at the well-being and social progress of young people themselves, all while cooperating with the municipalities); administrations to facilitate their implementation. The Consultation is non-partisan and non-political. The main purposes that are intended to be pursued are:

a) Promote the culture of participation, understood as an opportunity, through the expression of one’s opinions and actions, to have an impact on areas of youth interest, aiming for socially sustainable goals;
b) Develop initiatives to promote the increase of individual and group skills regarding expressive-creative abilities; participatory processes; co-design; communication and social media management;
c) Facilitate the exchange of ideas between young people of different ages, territorial backgrounds, educational-work conditions, culture, thus promoting the creation of appropriate spaces;
d) Express opinions, upon request or on one’s own initiative, on situations related to youth politics in the territory;
e) Promote discussion and collaboration among and between young people, individuals or organizations, and all those involved in youth-related activities;
f) Identify phenomena of marginalization and social hardship, intervening on them also through collaboration with public and private social organizations;
g) Attempt to involve local associations and other youth organizations in the activities of the Consultation, respecting their specificities;
h) Create a consultative body to assist the Municipal Administrations in the choice of youth policies to be implemented.
