The main goal of Youth Information and Counseling (JIC) is to help young people navigate all aspects of their lives and encourage independent decision-making. It is impossible to make a firm decision without knowing all the available options and alternatives. Knowing the different options is only the first step, followed by evaluating the different options, comparing them in a wider context and matching them with the young person’s capabilities, skills and aspirations. These steps are difficult for everyone, especially for young people who are still developing as personalities and facing them for the first time.
