Filokalia is a non-profit and non-governmental organization located in Nicosia Cyprus. “Filokalia” was founded in 2015 with the aim to support educational and cultural activities for children, young people and adults. “Filokalia” due to its connection with the Orthodox Church of Cyprus and thus through more than 150 parishes, has access to a large number of people from all ages, who are interested in inter-European educational and cultural projects. “Filokalia” in ancient Greek means the love of the beautiful, the good; as such the scope of “Filokalia” is to support children, young people and adults to participate in activities that promote the principles of the common good within the following fields:
• the education and the training of the youth,
• the fight against unemployment,
• the fight against poverty,
• the organization of educational and cultural events,
• the rescue of the cultural and architectural European heritage,
• the energy and,
• the environment
We have actively started working on setting the organization up and bringing it up to speed with European funding opportunities for activities always within the aforementioned framework, looking for strategic partners.
